Sock Monkeys

                                                              SOCK MONKEYS

Hey, this is a learning page.  My special friend Doris is helping me learn more about blogging and making my pages.  So many things in this old world are not so nice anymore.  How great it is to have a friend like Doris.
Anyway, I first saw the Rockford Red Heel Sock Monkeys back in the 50's while I was a kid in school.
My Aunt Dora, who could just about do anything from milking a cow to cooking a big holiday dinner for about 30 people , made some of them.  So about a month ago I began wanting to make some of them. At the time I had no idea half of the country had gone sock monkey crazy until I began to check on the internet
for the Rockford socks and a little info on them.  They are really fun to make and suprisingly easy, although very time consuming.  My Great-grand-children, I have 5 of them, seem to really love these I made for them. Sometimes I think I may try to stop making things as I call it. Most people call it Crafting, but anyway I just never seem to be able to stop making something by hand or machine.  Hope you enjoy the photos. They seem to take on a life of their own.
